On November 21, 2025, firefly made a striking appearance at the 23rd Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition (Auto Guangzhou 2025), showcasing its right-hand-drive model and user-designed custom models in the NIO booth. At the event, William Li, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of NIO, announced firefly’s latest delivery milestone and updates on its global expansion. Li revealed that firefly had just achieved its 30,000th delivery while the right-hand-drive version is now ready to roll out in Singapore and Thailand.

In Thailand, NIO has partnered with Thonburi Group, an established automotive and mobility solution provider founded in 1941, leveraging its industrial strength and complete business ecosystem to introduce firefly. In Singapore, firefly is entering the market in collaboration with Wearnes Automotive, a leading premium car group. firefly currently entering European markets including the Netherlands, Norway, Belgium, Denmark, Greece, Austria, and Portugal, with plans to expand further into 17 countries across Europe, the Americas, and Southeast Asia.
