firefly Officially Launches in Thailand

On March 5, firefly, NIO Inc.’s high-end small electric car brand, officially entered Thailand. Present in ten countries, the brand aims to expand into nearly 40 markets across Europe, the Americas, and Southeast Asia. After debuting its right-hand-drive (RHD) model in November 2025 at the Auto Guangzhou, firefly delivered its first RHD vehicles in Singapore. With Thailand becoming its second RHD market in Southeast Asia, the brand continues to accelerate its global rollout.
 

Thailand, a key RHD market in Southeast Asia, has seen rapid growth in EV demand in recent years, creating significant opportunities for premium smart EV brands. To strengthen its presence in the country, firefly has partnered with Thonburi BlueSky Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the Thonburi Group as its general distributor. Leveraging Thonburi Group’s deep local expertise and integrated industry capabilities across the value chain in luxury vehicle manufacturing, advanced battery assembly, and a nationwide after-sales service network, firefly is now positioned to introduce its distinctive premium small electric car to more people in Thailand.
