firefly Launches y2k edition, Limited to 166 Units

On March 20, 2026, firefly unveiled the y2k edition, limited to 166 units. Designed for trendsetters who express themselves through fashion, it channels y2k retro-futuristic vibes and the brand’s “freedom to glow” spirit. More than just a car, it represents a lifestyle of effortless flair.
The y2k edition is priced at RMB 137,800, or RMB 97,800 with the Battery as a Service (BaaS) plan. Deliveries will start on March 22. The select and comfort versions are priced from RMB 119,800 and RMB 125,800, respectively. With RMB 40,000 off under the BaaS plan, you can get behind the wheel from just RMB 79,800.


Built around y2k retro-futuristic style, the y2k edition distills the signature glow color contrasts and a futuristic edge into its exterior. The lime conveys vitality and growth, while purple graphics stretch from the hood along the body, capturing the iconic glow of the millennium era. The black, film-inspired detail on the doors adds the finishing touch, introducing a pronounced retro texture to the bright palette. Flowing, sculpted surfaces are accentuated by angled cuts that suggest speed, reflecting the visual language of millennial-era design. The white rally-style alloy wheels feature a dense spoke mesh, with metallic-tinted gaps adding depth and a subtle retro-meets-modern minimalist feel. Beyond fashion, the special edition incorporates practical features, including “flash knock,” which opens the frunk with a double knock. This feature is now available for pre-order via the firefly app, bringing a simpler, more convenient start to every journey.


Built on the obsidian interior and black fabric headliner of the comfort version, the interior theme reimagines y2k aesthetics with vibrant accents that add stylish flair. The front and rear seats feature y2k-inspired fluorescent seat belts and stitching, creating a dynamic interplay of color with the bespoke floor mat and bringing y2k aesthetics to life. The headrest logo is crafted through high-temperature embossing to reveal a sculpted texture, underscoring luxury and exclusivity in every detail and creating an immersive y2k-style cabin.
